Microsoft Banning more than just Pirates?

So by now we have all heard that Microsoft has recently been banning consoles from connecting to the Xbox Live Service for violating its terms of service. In Microsofts efforts to combat piracy, the banhammer has cracked as many as 1,000,000 users. I think we can effectively call this a ban nuking.

What does this mean for you and what can you do about it? Firstly, and most obviously, you cannot connect to Xbox Live on this console any more. This means no more game updates (aka title updates), XBLA games, marketplace content, netflix/sky player and so on. There is no way around this, all online capabilities are now disabled PERMANENTLY.

It looks like MS is doing some last minute changes to increase sales of their console. Yeah I know alot of people pirate games, and been doing it for a long time. But this isn't about them, well at least mostly. MS is banning consoles left and right the second they connect to Live.
